Deals, Discounts, and More!!

Hey Everyone!!

As we all know, medical school is insanely expensive! It has definitely been a big hurdle for me, so I try to post any deals and discounts that I can find so that it may be of help to others. I have created this page specifically to keep them all in one place - hopefully some of you will be able to save a buck or two (some of these are specific to medical school and others are not)! I will try my best to keep this page updated as promo codes and offers can change over time.

1. Amazon Student

Anyone currently registered in an academic program is eligible for a free 6 month trial of Amazon Student Prime. This is a great service...with a membership you get free 2 day shipping from most things on Amazon and there are other perks as well!
When trying to sign up, it tells you that you must have a .edu email address - if you don't you can send them some sort of proof that you are enrolled and they will let you do it.

If you sign up using my referral link, you will get a $5 amazon credit and I will too!!

2. Board Vitals

Board vitals is a website that has multiple question banks that you can purchase a subscription to. They have question banks for USMLE step 1 and 2, as well as qbanks that are specific to each clinical rotation. I am currently using their Family Medicine qbank to study for my shelf exam and it has been very helpful (the FM bank has 1700 questions alone). They are reasonably priced - $49 for one month, $59 for three months, or $69 for six months! They also have one set fee that will give you access to all of the qbanks on their site.

If you sign up using my referral link, you can get $10 off of any qbank or qbank package on their site :)

3. AMZreview Trader

This is a really cool website - basically, the site offers you discounted product (and even many products for FREE) in exchange for an honest review on amazon. When you first sign up you may not get approved for a lot of the things you request, but once you review a few things and do the reviews well, free stuff will come flooding in.

Here's the website! Unfortunately, this works best in the USA :)

4. Swagbucks

Swagbucks is another great service I have been using for awhile. Essentially, you get "points" for doing things on the internet that you can cash in for gift cards to a variety of retailers. I always trade mine in for amazon gift cards, and then use the balance to pay for my products on AMZreview trader. It really works out well! You can get points for watching videos (I let them stream in the backround of what I am doing), taking surveys, shopping online (for example, you get 7 points for every dollar spent on amazon), and searching (you set it as your search default). I have been using swagbucks since July and I have cashed in about $175 so far. This works great for students because you are on your computer all day anyway, might as well make a little cash!!

If you want to sign up, please use my referral link!

5. Ibotta

Ibotta is a phone app that gets you cash back on purchases that you make at various stores. They change their promotions every week. For example, they might have a deal for 50cents back on the purchase of Heinz ketchup...you buy the ketchup, scan the barcode and upload your receipt and 50 cents is added to your balance. It is just a little bit at a time but before you know it you've got $20 in there that you can cash out via paypal!

If you sign up with my referral code  gfvdbha  you will get $10 once you make your first submission and I will get $5. This one is only good in the USA!
